Transportaion of SpecCans®

All SpecCans® contain compressed gas and are therefore classed as hazardous cargo when being transported by road, sea or air. In general most of our cans are shipped under UN1956 - Compressed Gas, n.o.s. and is controlled by the following organisations:-

• Air - IATA
• Road - ADR (Europe) - (local regulations may exist)
• Sea - IMDG

Specialty Gases has qualified staff who are able to pack, certify and give advice on transportation of hazardous goods.

Shipping hazardous goods can be expensive so a good rule is to ship in larger quantities - "you can ship 20-30 cans for approximately the same price as 5".
